Ways of working- technical documentation

1.               At the September 2024 meeting, Ways of Working-2 was presented proposing a State of the Science paper or Science and Research Special Topics Report on certain discussion papers. This could include a cover page summarising the paper, research recommendations and any other relevant information.

2.               This type of document could ultimately form part of the COT guidance package where it is envisaged that the overarching guidance will be complemented by standalone papers on individual topics as required. Furthermore, citation of these would be easier and would also promote the Committee’s work more widely.

3.               Members agreed that reformatting some of the discussion papers as technical guidance documents or state of the science reports would be useful and the Committee would review a more developed version of a potential template for this purpose in due course.

4.               The Secretariat have reformatted Discussion Paper on Novel Formulations of Supplement Compounds Designed to Increase Oral Bioavailability into a Science and Research Special Topics Report.
